Amanda Seales (formerly Amanda Diva) is a true Renaissance woman. A DJ, Painter, tv/web Pop culture critic, Singer/MC, scholar and more she has successfully made a career out of doing/creating quality work rooted in music and pop culture. While receiving her master’s in African American studies at Columbia University she served as MTV VJ she can now be seen regularly on MTV's Hip Hop POV, VH1 and HLN as a music expert/comedy commentator. Her music expertise blends perfectly with her role as DJ Amanda Diva playing all different genres of music to diverse audiences from Paris to New York. Deev is also an accomplished recording artist herself releasing numerous projects and touring/working with greats like Q-tip, The Roots, Lupe Fiasco, and others. Always looking for outlets to create in she recently wrote and mounted her second one-woman show Death of the Diva about the dismantling of the powerful female image in entertainment. Giving full truth to her title as the Renaissance woman, she is also an accomplished visual artist who shows in exhibits, does live painting events, and has a hand-painted bag line available on www.DivaWorksofArt.com. With murals living from Grenada to Berlin to New York, her hand painted bag line featured on Karmaloop.com, BETΚΌs Rip the Runway, her work hanging in the homes of celebs like R&B artist Estelle, Swizz Beatz & Alicia Keys her honor as a 2010 Grey Goose “Rising Icon”, inclusion in the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series her work has been recognized globally. Make no mistake Amanda is not unfocused she is multifaceted. At a time when mediocrity is applauded Amanda is leading her own movement of classy and cool!
