Testimony from "Death of the Diva"

A Teacher who brought a group of 30 girls to see Death of the Diva:

Let me explain something. In our class, we talk about the exploitation of women and how poorly we are represented in the media. And then we came to Amanda's show, Death Of The Diva. In the show, Amanda said she made a choice, not to succumb to the pressure; not to become a stereotype; not to allow herself to be exploited. What is clear is that Amanda uses her voice to encourage women to use theirs. I asked 20 little girls, on the subway ride home, what they learned today. They said: "Be yourself. Support your sister. We are more than what they say we are." Thanks Amanda! xo
